today was a really hard day
and it’s not getting any easier.
there is a very very high chance I will be carting a lot of books to Accra
but I have to say that i’m very thankful for the friend who

You are such a good person.
the friend who brings me a huge peach smoothie and watches me cry while looking on reassuringly
I’m going to miss you so much I don’t even know how to deal with it.
and most of all, my guy who can always make me laugh and smile and help me put my world back into perspective
I love you.
Maybe since God can’t really reach down and comfort us, he sends his people to do it.

the Best Good Friend, in a recent residency-is-hard conversation.
This is a question that pre-meds and med students think they know the answer to, yet most residents and attendings aren’t quite so sure about all the time. Probably a question we should all be asking occasionally.

my prayer tonight.
Father, help me trust in you. Help me be more faithful. Help me love you more and serve you more and seek you more
help me represent you more
I love you God, thank you for saving me
my life is for yours to use
there’s no more time and i’m not done.
